Jet set’n accross the USofA

Round trip to Boston to watch Xav run the Boston Marathon last weekend.

This was the first time I got to meet his Dad and brother Victor and Sister-in-common-law Nikhia. We all went to Cheers, ya know “some time you wana go, where everybody knows your name…”

What a great trip. The Jimenez gang and I had a blast running all over town trying to find Xav during the race. It was a bit of an adventure! We found the perfect spots and were able to cheer him on at “heartbreak hill” where we thought he might need it the most. We met up w/ old friends Lori and Eric and their two boys Dylan and Reed. Well actually we stayed with Heather and Steve and Jack and Cooper and Tally. Seeing Lori et al was fantasitic but too short and being with the Jimenez family was a very important part of the trip – not to mention extremely enjoyable.

Xav and I also got to chill in a really nice old Boston hotel.

After some much needed R&R we downed some asian-fusion food and grabbed a cab to go to the post marathon party and dance around to some great music – KE likes to boogie.

Xav being a marathon junkie was a great excuse for an awesome trip!!!!!!!!!!

What an amazing day!

Today we awoke to jacko’s smiling face, grabbed some coffee and headed off to group health to get our first look at lil’ KE. She’s about 2.85 CM long and already moving around and like a itty bitty rugby player.

After we left the sun was shining, and we saw a beautiful rainbow later this afternoon that just seemed to put the cap on a wonderful day.  All seems right with the world.

A new place to call home…

We we have finally moved in to our new place in ballard. It’s great having soo much room and every room seems full of light. Maybe its because the days are getting longer now and the sun is coming out more, maybe its because we are soo happy to be living together, whatever the reason the sun seems to be shining on us these days.

Jacko loves it too.

He’s getting used to all the new sounds and smells. He wakes up every morning ready to march around his new neighborhood. He also found a new friend down at the local espresso stand. He waits so patiently for us to get our coffee (grande-lowfat-vanilla-latte-DECAF) for Erica, and grande-vanilla-americano-for-me.
